Meet Manhattan Psychotherapist, Isaac Cruz, LMHC
I am a private practice psychotherapist located in New York City with extensive experience working as a behavioral specialist.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I’ve worked with a broad population of clients including those struggling with psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, depression, social anxiety and generalized anxiety as well as other mood disorders.
I also have experience working with clients who are athletes and struggle with athletic performance and anxiety.
As a behavioral specialist I have had the opportunity to work with clients outside of the psychotherapy experience providing executive consultation on public image, personal branding, strategic thinking, acquisition of interpersonal skills and non verbal communication and awareness.

More about Isaac
I am also a martial arts instructor with over 35 years of experience teaching and training in karate, Jujutsu, and weapons combatives.

As an instructor I have developed and taught specialized course work for children and adults.
I combine fundamental martial arts training techniques with modern strength and condition strategies and behavioral training concepts such as role playing, adrenaline inducing scenarios, environmental awareness, exploring and debriefing traumatic events and learning to overcome their impact, tempering and teaching resilience while under stress.
I have also developed programs and course work to teach adaptive martial arts and body movement exercises to children and young adults with developmental/learning disabilities and students who struggle with physical disabilities.
In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, building and making things.
